The Hottest Cuts Volume III

Agyness Deyn
This cut takes androgyny way beyond wearing your boyfriend's button-down shirt. "This short pixie is a boy's haircut for a girl," says McMillan. "Ask for it to be short on the sides and in back, with layers throughout the top and bangs. It's important that the layers are soft and not too choppy—otherwise, it loses its girlishness."

Elisha Cuthbert
To get this English schoolboy style, "ask for an ear-length bowl cut—yes, a bowl cut—that tapers to the neck and has sideswept, brow-skimming bangs," says hairstylist David Babaii. "The top should be softly layered, and the sides should hug the face."

Audrey Tautou
For this pixie style, you need "a boyish cut that's short and textured in the back and heavily layered throughout the top with a cheekbone-length, side-parted shock of hair in the front," says hairstylist Andy LeCompte of Chris McMillan, The Salon in Beverly Hills.

Marley Shelton
Not all '80s hair is bad. To get this punk look, "request for a cut thats boy-short, yet softly layered, on the sides and back," says Paul. "The top should be longer, with thinned-out ends; the bangs should make a diagonol line, starting mid-forehead and ending just below the brows."

Renée Zellweger
If Edie Sedgwick were to walk the red carpet in 2008, she'd probably have this haircut. To copy it, "ask for a blunt, ear-length cut that tapers slightly in the back," says hairstylist Sally Hershberger of the Sally Hershberger salons in New York City and Los Angeles. "The front and sides are almost completely blunt, but you should ask for subtle layering on the ends to keep it from looking too severe. And the front pieces should be long enough to tuck behind your ears."

Camilla Belle
On hair that's thick and straight, this cut has a cool '60s vibe. (It makes all other textures fall flat and look stringy.) "Tell your stylist you'd like your bangs to start very far back on your head and end just below the eyebrows," says Garren. "They should also be very blunt, very thick, and perfectly straight, with no layers—and the rest of your hair should be, too."

Reese Witherspoon
These thick, feathery bangs balance a strong face shape. "Ask for bangs just even with the eyebrows that are slightly longer in the middle," says hairstylist Mark Townsend, who gave Witherspoon these bangs. "Then have your stylist cut upward into the last inch of the bangs with thinning shears to give them a choppy look."
