Victoria's Secret Perfumes:
What Kind Of Undie Are You?
|
Miami Chicks are garden fresh. Is this a Miami Girl Secret or a Victoria's Secret.
Let find out!
Victoria’s Secret have launched yet another feminine boudoir perfume meant to highlight their lingerie collection called Sexy
Little Things Noir. It features – readers of Proust will appreciate – a floral note of Cattelaya orchid, which was turned into a haunting trope of feminine
beauty and even into a newly coined verb denoting sexual intercourse in Remembrance of Things Past.
“At once elegant and playfully provocative, it’s an enchanting blend of sparkling nectarine, sultry amber and exotic cattelaya orchid.”.
As it is, the scent is described as a fruity-floral opening on notes of nectarine, juicy apple, sparkling citrus, pineapple, guanabana, mouthwatering pear,
red fruit, bergamot. The heart rests on notes of: cattelaya orchid, muguet, cyclamen, jasmine petals, plum, vanilla, dewberry, cassis. Base notes are golden
amber, velvet musk, sultry woods, tonka bean.
The spokesperson for the perfume is Brazilian model Adriana Lima which was present at the launch acting as a central advertising focus for the new perfume.
Dressed in a cocktail dress as a modern-day Cleopatra ready to seduce her Anthony she sat and posed with the perfume bottle amidst an array of Victoria’s
Secret lingerie.
“On Saturday, May 9th, Victoria’s Secret Beauty’s Adriana Lima celebrated the launch of the new fragrance and body care collection Noir, dressed as a modern
day Cleopatra. Lounging in a decadent boudoir setting on a grande chaise lounge, Adriana hosted an afternoon of glamour and mystery at the Lexington Avenue
Victoria’s Secret store.
After more recently introducing Sexy Little Things Noir, Sexual Secret Woman and Man, the Michel Germain
exclusives for the lingerie brand, Victoria's Secret will launch a new line of sexy perfumes called Parfums Intimes (Intimate Perfumes)
inspired by the feel of four different textiles: satin, silk, cashmere and lace. Each of the perfumes created by IFF will include a main note that interprets
the material of origin. The scents are named Satin Rose de Mai, Silk Mandarin Santal, Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine, Lace Orange
Flower...

Some comments
Yup, it went too sweet on me, too. Started lovely, then went into a sugar-coated floral stickyness. Argh. Too sweet, which is
a shame because the notes start off so very lovely.

I was looking forward to wearing this, because I love many rose and tuberose scents, but I ended up being disappointed. I think it is a body chemistry thing,
because this smelled good when I first tested it, but Rose de Mai became very cloying on my skin. It made me sneeze all day too. I guess someone else will be
inheriting my free sample.

It smells good for the first 20 min. and then it got lost on my skin. It started to smell too much like any other basic floral. I like the Cashmere more.

Just shows you how fragrances react differently on people's skin. I tried all four one day. Drove home with them all on different parts of my arms. For me,
Lace had the lasting power. Came back a different day to buy it. Used it the next day. Sprayed it on a 8 AM. It was still giving off a nice fragrance at 3
PM. Thought I would give the Satin Rose a try again. Went back and gave my wrist a good spray. It did not last at all when I got home a gave my wrist a sniff
test.

I can see this one for the under-22 crowd or people who like a very very light floral. Pretty, fresh, slightly shy and youthful, a real rosebud of a
fragance. Daytime wear, for warmer weather, casual or light enough to wear to work.

Had been waiting for this new line to come out and I'm not dissappointed! I had thought from the descriptions that I would end up buying the Lace one but
after trying all 4 and making my poor fiance sniff my wrists OVER and OVER again :)...we both agreed that we liked this one the best! It's very light and
freshly floral, but not in a boring way. I also noticed that this and the Cashmere one have the best staying power out of all 4. Overall really pretty and I
typically am not crazy about Victoria's Secret fragrances.

Victoria’s Secret Dream Angels Heavenly Bloom

In a passing weird twist, lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret has decided to turn to victoria’s angel Miranda Kerr to be the spokesperson for their new fragrance
Dream Angels Heavenly Bloom. We say this because as it turns out, Kerr is actor Orlando Bloom’s girlfriend since late 2007.
Heavenly Bloom/Orlando Bloom…coincidence, coincidence, I think not. Is this supposed to be subliminal celebrity marketing? At any rate when you know how
marketing people are self-conscious about semantic plays, it would be difficult to pretend not to be aware of the contiguity of the two names.
The limited-edition scent is described as a woody fruity-floral.
Inspired by the lush white florals of dream angels heavenly, America’s favorite fragrance, the new heavenly bloom fragrance is softer, more subtle. Innocent.
Blissful with fresh yellow freesia, delicate magnolia flower and pure blonde woods, heavenly bloom captures the true essence of spring.
“Top notes: yellow freesia, sparkling mandarin, honeydew melon, pear blossom.
Middle notes: magnolia flower, jasmine petals, blooming gardenia, apple flower, apricot nectar
